I’ve been avoiding using some of my better watercolor brushes with alcohol ink because I am afraid that they’ll get wrecked by the alcohol damaging the hairs in the ferule. But, since I’m not painting watercolor anymore but exclusively using the inks, I thought I’d do an experiment using better quality brushes for a large smooth face of a wave for the Water class.
Hi Sheryl. Excellent video. Do you ever use goat hair brushes? They are starched with a firm tip but can’t find much info on how to keep tip firm. They’re also to be cleaned with water? Maybe I shouldn’t have bought them for AI
Kiersten, I haven’t tried them. I can get some and test them out for you.
Nice demo for brush work but didn’t understand JG7?
Hi Lee. The JG7 is a color in the Spectrum Noir range that I used for this demonstration.
