This week’s featured class of the Week is the Level 4 Water Part 2 Class.
In this class we paint a large ocean wave, sun setting into the ocean at twilight and two studies: Windows and Mirrors and Foam in the Ocean.
The key to the big ocean wave is to use a large brush that will hold a lot of alcohol ink, creating beautiful sweeps.
In the sun setting into the ocean you’ll learn how to carry that light from the sun throughout your waves with lots of colors and drama.
Many of us love the ocean but water can be difficult to paint. In your studies you will learn how light either reflects the sky above or allows you to peer into the water and the sand below.
The second study of foam on the surface of the water teaches you how to observe the wide range of shadows in the ocean foam, so perfect to use for seashore paintings.
Here’s a short video to see some of the student’s paintings from the Level 4 Water Part 2 Class.
